​Bonjour!  I’m Yasna, a Belgian-born wedding officiant, mom of four daughters, and someone who believes a ceremony should feel genuine, meaningful, and completely true to the couple standing before me.

I moved from Belgium to the United States in 2012, and my journey into the wedding world began soon after through The Hitchin’ Barn, the wedding venue I own and manage. Standing behind the scenes of so many celebrations is what ultimately inspired me to become a wedding officiant.

I was ordained by the Universal Life Church and have been officiating weddings since 2019. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of officiating countless ceremonies, each one adding to the depth of experience I bring to your wedding day. Those many moments, across many styles of weddings, have helped me develop a calm, confident presence and a supportive, intuitive approach. My couples know they can relax, feel understood, and trust that their ceremony is in good hands.

As a non-denominational officiant, I work as your guide and co-creator, giving you a meaningful say in what goes into your ceremony so that it genuinely reflects your personalities, beliefs, and intentions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and flexible: I offer guidance, ideas, and structure while giving you full control over the words and rituals that feel authentic to your relationship.

Language is an important part of connection. I’m a native French speaker and can add a touch of French or perform bilingual French–English ceremonies. I can also incorporate Spanish elements to honor your culture, welcome family, or simply make your ceremony more inclusive.
